Library Love Stories
The Athens library recently got a visit from a four-footed patron who likes books so much, he literally eats them up! Oliver was very ashamed of his behavior and wrote a sweet letter to the Athens branch manager to apologize:

Dear Amy the Library Lady,

I wish to offer my sincere apology for defacing this work of literary fiction. In my defense, I am an illiterate former street dog with a curious appetite for knowledge. I now realize that hoomans have a different take on enjoying a good read than doggos like me. My hooman has brought me here in person to beg for your understanding and forgiveness. She will take care of any fines for my naughty behavior. I am now enrolled in school and hope to further my education while channeling my abundance of energy in a more productive manner.

Best regards,
Oliver Jackson Schumacher

P.S. I nibble on plants too.

Volunteer Spotlight:
Meet Daisy

Daisy has been coming to the Glouster library since she was 8 years old and is now a freshman in high school. She has participated in many programs as a kid, and last month became an official volunteer!

Librarians Sarah, Tessa, and Karen are so thankful for her assistance in shelving books, making craft kits, taking and editing photos to help advertise programming, and just her positive and creative presence.

Thanks for all your work, Daisy!
(and high-fives to all of the other volunteers out there)
