Made possible by a generous gift from Dr. Bruce and Aline Paxton
and featuring art by Kevin Morgan.

"I have never had a solitary art lesson in my life. Instead, books were my teachers and I have learned, enjoyed and been inspired by so many artists from around the globe. As I’m stepping away from my graphic career to concentrate on painting, designing the ACPL bookmobile was an honor and a much appreciated feather in my cap. Thank you ACPL for the opportunity to help promote the joys of our local libraries." ~Kevin Morgan

Celebrating Computer Science Education Week
December 7-13, watch our Facebook page for projects created by
our GIRLS WHO CODE club members, like this one by anaylor84 that was featured on the front page of Scratch.mit! (Scratch is a free programming language + online community where you can create your own interactive stories, games, and animations.)

GIRLS WHO CODE, a national movement dedicated to
closing the gender gap in technology, fosters bravery, sisterhood, activism,
and resilience through teaching the skill of computer coding.

Our club received a STEM Talent Pipeline educational grant from Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) to buy new laptops! The purpose of the grant is to support the local community’s science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs.

We also recently won a micro:bit Educator Lab Packs giveaway, sponsored by
Girls Who Code and Walmart! This pack will help our coders learn computational thinking and programming in an easy and engaging way.

The club meets virtually every Wednesday at 4:30 PM.
All 3rd through 12th graders welcome!
Register online through our events calendar.
